What Our Clients Are Saying

I first started working out with Melanie in 2015 after a traumatic life incident left me with PTSD. Melanie built me up and made me feel strong. Not only in muscular strength, but in spirit, in confidence, and in friendship.

Melanie has never made me feel weak, wimpy, or dumb—like I have experienced working with other personal trainers. The thing that separates Melanie from any other trainer I have had is that she is not only a great personal trainer but also a great motivator. She shows you how to do the exercises and is patient if you need to see it a couple of times (like me)! Additionally, she watches your form and execution to ensure you are getting the maximum benefits from every exercise.

Melanie makes working out and lifting something that I genuinely enjoy. Her exterior radiates sunshine and inspires all around her to smile and enjoy each day. Melanie has taught me a lot of things about lifting weights, but some of the most important lessons I have learned from her go beyond the four walls of the gym. I feel very lucky to have trained with Melanie for the last 3 years, I couldn’t have made it without her. She is an inspiration to me inside and outside of the gym and truly reflects the things she promotes—wellness, health, and strength!

I hired Melanie to train me for my first bodybuilding bikini competition in May 2017. I had been working out for about five years consistently but never saw a clear change in body composition until working with her. She dialed in my nutrition which actually had me eating more than I currently was, yet the fat was melting away, exposing lean muscle tissue I had never seen before! How was that possible?! Eating more and losing fat/weight?! She showed me the importance of proper nutrition to fuel my body and my workouts as well as the intention needed when working different muscle groups. I’m grateful for meeting Melanie and entrusting her with my first competition prep. She took the time to understand my body and explained the processes each change would make and why.

Eight weeks ago when I met with Melanie for my assessment, she asked me what I wanted to achieve with her as my trainer. I told her I wanted to get ready for the golf season, have more strength and more important, have arms like hers. Melanie has led me through a program of challenging weight training and carefully works with me at every step to be sure I’m correct in my form.

She can create a program for any age group. She’s an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher who motivates and inspires this 73-year-old grandmother.   She turns an otherwise hard-working hour into an enjoyable time.

To make my week a perfect workout program, an hour of yoga with Melanie compliments my training. This is an hour of relaxation and hard work with Melanie’s soothinsional.

So, do my arms look like Melanie’s? I can feel a difference in endurance and strength from that first day and in my mind’s eye, they do. Truthfully, I have a way to go, but I know I’ll get there.

BOOM!

Melanie and David are very competent and they care. And, they’re fun to work with to boot.  I am happy with the results, especially for my age.

I’m here to TESTIFY!

I had arthroscopic knee surgery just over a year ago.  Traditional PT did not strengthen my knee enough to allow me to go back to pickleball so I started seeing Melanie to focus on rehabbing the knee plus general overall muscle strength and flexibility.  Suffice it to say I’m now back to running around the courts with confidence that my knee won’t give out and my golf swing is more fluid!

Most impressive, other than her enthusiasm,  is her attention to technique and the variety of exercises she has me do. There’s not a single piece of equipment that doesn’t see some kind of action!  I’ve also worked out with David and he too is creative with the workouts and made sure that whatever I was doing was done with proper technique. My training doesn’t suffer working between the two which is great for their flexibility in scheduling.

Melanie has been my personal trainer for four years. My experience has been extremely positive and I believe in how she trains. Consequently, I have referred many people to her. Melanie is always very positive and extremely knowledgeable about the body and its mechanics. She trains everyone on an individual basis. She is a good listener and really helps when there are injuries or weaknesses in the body.

I really attribute some of my golfing success to her. Strength, flexibility and mental focus are all necessary for this sport especially as one gets older. To date, I am in very good physical shape, my diet is good and my weight is the lowest it has been in over 47 years.

I look forward to many more years of training with her and reaching future goals.

Melanie has been my trainer for approximately 6 months.  I came to her wanting to increase strength and flexibility.  I can honestly say that both have improved substantially, and I am hoping to increase both even more.

Melanie has incredible motivational skills, but I would have to say even more impressive is her ability to “diagnose” and uncover weaknesses in muscles.  She designs each session with lots of variety so that my hour goes by quickly, and I do not feel overly fatigued.

Her background in anatomy and physiology shines through in all aspects of her training sessions.  I have also benefited from her MAT skills. Melanie’s upbeat attitude is contagious, and I always feel better when I leave than when I arrived!

I have been training with Melanie and Dave Riley for three years.  They both provide a professional touch to training and the atmosphere is always fun and upbeat. I always look forward to each session and believe I get better results than working out alone.  I recommend them 100% to anyone looking to start a fitness program.

When I turned 65 I began to lose distance in my golf tee shots. The younger guys I played with were hitting it 40 yards past me whereas I once hit it 40 yards past them.

Then I began training with Melanie. She and her husband Dave worked with me on strength and conditioning, stretching and flexibility.

After one year I was hitting the ball same distance as my buddies. After 3 years I was again hitting it 30 – 40 yards past them. My golf instructor, Mike, says “no one your age can hit it as far as you do, heck very few people my age can”. And Dave says I still have more in the tank. I am 75 years old.

I have been working with Mel one day a week for about a year now.  My progress to health and fit body has been amazing!

I dropped over 50 pounds, about 10 dress sizes, but moreover, I’m just very fit now.  Mel’s knowledge and expertise go way beyond personal training.  She is well-rooted in physiology and uses this expertise to tailor my program to my body type.  She shares her knowledge by setting up training programs and nutrition advice that I can do on my own during the week.

I love working with Mel.  She keeps this fun, always pushing me to the next level, and makes amazing results possible!

For me, she changed my body and my life.

I started personal training with Melanie to look better and ended up with an added bonus-feeling better.

Committing to a healthier way of life including food choices, adequate hydration, and consistent exercise and strength training has paid off.

Besides losing inches and clothes fitting better, I sleep better. Aches and pains are drastically reduced, and my energy level stays high all day long.

Since I started working with All Attitude Fitness, the pain in my legs and back has dramatically improved.

Melanie has proven to me that hard work combined with proper technique and diet can lead to great results.
